The cardigan that passes for a jacket. A soft wool blend with a round neck, patch pockets and a row of gold buttons down the front — loose enough to be comfortable, neat enough for a meeting.

Wool without the itch — A polyester and wool blend that is warm and soft against the skin.
Gold buttons — The decorative buttons are what make it look dressed rather than cozy.
Loose, and easy-wearing for it — An easy, lightly shaped fit that moves well and goes smart or casual.
